Cutting-Edge Genlock Support For
Multi-Board And Multi-System Display
Synchronization
Advanced
visualization systems often make use of a
large number of monitors and exceed the
capabilities of current display controllers,
which can output to 1, 2, 3 or 4 monitors
per board. The use of multiple display
controllers, multiple systems, or a
combination of multi-board systems, can be
used to create a virtual display. To achieve
this, and to avoid display artifacts, the
graphics hardware must have the ability to
synchronize internal clocks and frame swaps
to an external synchronization reference
source.
The Matrox
Advanced Synchronization Module (ASM) can
control up to 4 Matrox display controllers
in one system and also supports
synchronization between multiple systems.
This intelligent PCI module offers a host of
unique features to provide the highest level
of options for the synchronization of
large-scale, multi-monitor configurations,
such as house sync, an external
synchronization signal; master/slave
configurations for inter-system
synchronization; and support for multiple
resolutions per channel. Additionally, its
standard 3-pin stereo connector allows for
multi-monitor, multi-system, and multi-user
stereoscopic visualization.
Matrox display
drivers also play a crucial role in ensuring
that buffer swaps are synchronized across
boards, and even across systems, for
applications that support distributed
rendering. With an array of high-performance
PCI products, Matrox provides a wide range
of configuration options tailored to the
specific needs of a project.
- CGI
Engineering Can Take Your Breath Away!
The Matrox
ASM is the perfect solution for control-room
environments, or for simulation, where every
piece of equipment must be in lockstep with
every other, in order to ensure that all
graphics are synchronized. It is also
ideal for situations calling for the use of
data walls, as it provides the much needed
frame-lock support, ensuring that redraws
occur in sync when rendering across multiple
displays. Breath Taking Results!
