RELIABILITY & RUN TIME

Power for the pingers is supplied by two standard alkaline 9-volt "transistor" type batteries.  Run Time Can Be Anywhere From A Few Days To Many Months; Depending On The Battery Grade, Quality, Starting Condition Unit's Output Power And Pulse Settings.  For Long Durations, Lithium Batteries Can Be Used.   A Longer Housing Is Available For Extending Operating Time By Providing Additional Battery Space To Hold Six Batteries; Yielding 3 Times The Normal Operating Time.  Each Pinger Can Be Set To Automatic Or manual Activation.  In Auto Mode, The Unit Turns On When It Touches Water.
