It Is The Owner’s Responsibility, And Required By Law, To Register The Device That Has A U.S. Code.  The 'National Authority' In The U.S. That Accepts The U.S. Coded Beacon Registration, Is The United States' National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  The First Registration Is Done Online And Is Currently Free To Our Customers.

Each PLB is equipped with a UIN (Unique Identifying Number) This number is a 15 digit alpha-numeric code. This code is what is transmitted in the electronic burst to the satellites.

To Report A False Alarm, Immediately Call The Appropriate Phone Number And Agency.  Have The Contact Numbers Handy When Using The PLB!  We Highly Suggest Looking Up Current Phone Numbers For The Region On Earth The PLB Will Be Used.  Print These Numbers Clearly On Card Stock And Have It Laminated. Make Several Copies, And Have One With The System And Backup Copies Onboard, In A Pack, With Personal ID, Passport, etc..  Avoid Being Stuck With A Huge Bill For An Avoidable False Alarm!
