CASANOVA'S TIP: When replacing batteries, use only new, fresh or fully charged batteries. Do Not mix battery types (Alkaline, NiMH, Lithium, NiCD, etc.). Do Not Mix Battery Capacities (750mAh, 1,500mAh, 2300mAh, etc.).
Extensive Use Of Backlighting, the WAAS receiver, and keypad beep tones will drain the batteries faster. Turn off keypad tones and WAAS when not needed! Use Backlight For Short Periods Of Time Only When Really Needed. We Highly Recommend Running Any GPS System On Extender Power. Use The Optional 12VDC Accessory Power Adapter With The eTrex Legend C Whenever Possible; saving the Valuable Battery Power For When Its Really Needed Away From Any Power Source On The Trail! |
