The GPS 76 Is Garmin's Top-Of-The-Line GPSPlotter For Professional Applications And Advanced Consumers. The GPS 76 Design, Features An Elegant Professional Appearance, Professional Functions, Durability, A Large High-Definition Display, And A Large Built-In Quad Helix GPS Antenna At The Top Of The System. As With All Garmin GPS Systems, The GPS 76 Is Based On The High-Performance Garmin 12- Parallel-Channel GPS Receiver.

User Memory

The GPS 76 Comes With 1 Megabyte of User Memory to be used for storing downloaded Points of Interest data. This 1MB of memory storage is preloaded from Garmin with worldwide cities (populations greater than 200,000) and nautical navigation aids such as lights, buoys, sound signals and day beacons, and is perfect for downloading points of interest detail from Garmin’s line of MapSource CD-ROMs. The GPS 76 is also preloaded with tide data for the United States.

An extra-large display measuring 1.6"W x 2.2"H gives users a clear view of information, while a waterproof case means the GPS 76 will keep working well even if it's been submerged in water. Even more amazing, this unit will actually float if accidentally dropped in the water.
