Fishers ROVs are completely mobile, high performance underwater camera systems capable of moving in any direction.  With an ROV, your team can locate, inspect, and videotape an underwater target without having to enter the water.

The SeaOtter has a sophisticated 4 motor propulsion system with two motors for forward/reverse and two motors for vertical and lateral thrust. Meters in the console monitor thrust for each motor. Topside the SeaOtter system connects to a color video monitor.

The video output signal can be used with any standard PAL video equipment (video gear) . Record to portable VCR or Camcorders. Create permanent video records now required by most insurance company's and city government. if attached to a video capture device, video and still pictures can be saved to hard disk or PC storage medias.

Remote operation is achieved by way of joysticks on the topside control console to "fly" the ROV and adjust camera angle and lighting.

The SeaOtter system includes a 2 lux color camera in a corrosion-proof PVC housing with built in leak detection system, four high intensity 100 watt underwater lights, and a 250 foot deployment cable. The underwater lights employ a unique water cooling system which allows many hours of operation without the need for bulb replacement.

With single function (open/close) manipulator arm

This manipulator arm consists of a single function (open/close), three finger claw capable of retrieving light weight samples from the ocean floor, attaching lines, or deploying an acoustic beacon. The arm and claw are constructed of high impact, corrosion proof PVC. The arm can be mounted to the vehicle for horizontal (side to side) opening/closing of the claw, or for vertical (up and down) opening/closing of the claw. Opening and closing of the claw is controlled by a switch mounted on the ROV's surface control unit.
 

With ROV metal detector and surface display
This high performance pulse induction metal detector is specially designed to attach to almost any ROV or towed underwater system. The RMD-1 detects both ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects under the ocean floor while ignoring minerals in the salt water and seabed. For more information please visit the RMD-1 Product Page.

500 ft. Cable
The SeaLion comes with a 250 foot cable. Select the 500 foot cable option and the SeaLion will be supplied with a 500 foot cable in place of the 250 foot cable. The ROV umbilical cable is a custom manufactured multi-conductor cable that has an outer poly-foam jacket which makes it neutrally buoyant. When purchasing the 500 foot cable it is recommended the underwater bulkhead connectors also be purchased. See "with underwater bulkhead connectors" below.


1000 ft. Cable
The SeaLion comes with a 250 foot cable. Select the 1,000 foot cable option and the SeaLion will be supplied with a 1,000 foot cable in place of the 250 foot cable. When purchasing the 1,000 foot cable it is recommended the underwater bulkhead connectors also be purchased. See "with underwater bulkhead connectors" below. A second set of in-line connectors are also recommended at the 500 foot point.


1000 ft. cable depth capability
The standard SeaLion ROV has a 500 foot depth rating. Select the 1,000 foot depth capability option and the SeaLion is supplied with a housing that can operate to 1,000 foot depths.


Underwater bulkhead connectors
The standard SeaLion comes with a 250 foot umbilical cable which is "hard wired" to the ROV. Select the underwater bulkhead connectors option and the SeaLion is supplied with connectors that allow the umbilical cable to be disconnected from the ROV. This makes transport, operation and storage of the SeaLion much easier.

Basic spare parts kit
The basic spare parts kit has essential items necessary to make quick field repairs. The basic spare parts kit includes a replacement motor thruster assembly, a replacement dome, 2 replacement 100 watt light bulbs, replacement light housing with holder, 2 replacement legs, assorted o-rings, and hardware.


Aluminum Crash Cage
The crash cage is a welded aluminum tubular frame that surrounds the vehicle providing 360 degree protection. The cage can prevent damage to the ROV during operations, deployment, and storage. The frame is attached to the ROV with heavy duty nylon belts with quick-release plastic buckles. These belts quickly and easily detach to remove the frame for "tight quarters" operations. The cage reduces the potential of snagging or hanging up the ROV when working in hazardous environments. The aluminum is anodized for corrosion resistance.


CCD Camera
This high resolution camera and monitor combination provide 50% more resolution than the standard camera and monitor.


Basic On-Screen Display For Time/Date/GPS
The on-screen display allows important information to be overlaid on the video picture. The basic on-screen display shows the time, the date, and the boat's GPS position on the video monitor. Whether performing a job for a client or video tapping a favorite dive site the on-screen information can be viewed on the monitor and captured as a permanent record on a VCR. The on-screen display system works equally well with both NTSC and European PAL video format.


Additional sensors for compass/depth/temp
The additional sensors for compass/depth/temp allow the ROV's compass heading, depth of the ROV, and water temperature at depth to be displayed on the video monitor. It is necessary to purchase the basic on-screen display before the additional sensors can be added.



Compass and topside LCD display (not on-screen)
This option includes a gimbaled compass sensor mounted in the rear of the ROV which connects through the umbilical cable to a topside three digit LCD display. The display shows the compass heading between 000 and 359 degrees. With this option the compass heading is not displayed on the video monitor.


12 vdc (inverter)
The SeaLion is designed to be powered by a 120 vac voltage supply. If the available voltage supply is 12 vdc, this 12 vdc/120 vac inverter will convert the supply voltage to the required input voltage.



220 vac (transformer)
The SeaLion is designed to be powered by a 120 vac voltage supply. If the available voltage supply is 220 vac, this 220/120 vac step down transformer will reduce the supply voltage to the required input voltage.


Color PAL format camera and monitor (Europe)
A high resolution PAL color camera and monitor are supplied for those requiring this European video format.
