The V-Shape construction of the Deuter Shield System covers the sensitive areas of the back, without impeding the users? freedom of movement. A sophisticated Multi-Layer Construction of PE plates and hard, closed cell foam provide excellent shock absorption and protection. A softer, open cell foam on the back system and its strategic spacing equal greater carrying comfort and superior ventilation. The Deuter Shield System can minimize the inherent risk involved with high-adrenaline alpine sports, but cannot eliminate all dangers.
