high-tensile polyurethane (from snowboard binding technologies).
Molded separately for the right and left foot, the split-molded
design offers superior fit and comfort while the switchback
lacing secures the foot to the snowshoe.

the binding pivot point, this patented feature allows our
harnesses to fit the widest variety and sizes of footwear on the

snowshoe using a second traction cleat under the heel to
stabilize the snowshoe (and consequentially the snowshoer) on

Featured on all technical series snowshoes, Atlas Hypalon is a
custom-milled composite fabric with a nylon core insert for
strength, and a polymer coating for durability and thermal
insulation. Hypalon offers unparalleled durability, floatation,
traction and comfort.
NYTEX[TM]
DECKING Used on all Hiking and Recreational Series
snowshoes, this custom-milled fabric includes a nylon core
sandwiched between highly durable PVC. Used in Alaska on dock
structures to land large ships, Nytex is strong and
abrasion/cold resistant (down to ?50F degrees).
POWDER COATED FRAMES:
Atlas employs this environmentally friendly electrostatic
process to add color to its frames. It allows for maximum
durability and quality with minimum waste.
SPRING-LOADED[TM]
BINDING (U.S. PATENT #5,699,630):
Atlas is the only company to offer a Spring-Loaded binding. The
binding lifts the nose of the snowshoe with every step which
allows for an easy, comfortable, natural stride and makes
backing up and maneuvering in tight areas possible. All
technical series snowshoes feature this patented binding
technology.

T.I.G. WELDED:
Atlas welds its high-performance frames by hand, using the
Tungsten Inert Gas welding technique. This extra effort produces
the toughest, lightest frames you'll find in a snowshoe.
TRAVERSE-TRAC[TM]
CLEAT: Featured on Summit, Back-Country and Hiking
series snowshoes. This additional cleat enhances the performance
and stability of the shoes on side hills and keeps the shoe from
slipping as a snowshoer crosses steep slopes.
