The CD-ROM contains two programs which you can use with your Meade telescope.

1. Starry Night, developed by Sienna Software, is a planetarium program, which can realistically display the night sky in
   real time, including stars, deep sky objects, planets, and much more.

2. Astronomer's Control Panel (ACP), developed by DC-3 Dreams, is a telescope control program with rich features, voice command and response, and scripting automation.

Starry Night and ACP software work together transparently to give you control of your Meade robotic telescope through Starry Night and ACP's voice and graphical interfaces. These two programs represent the state of the art in computer-telescope integration, and both DC-3 Dreams and Sienna Software are leading developers of astronomy software.

"Starry Night Bundle Edition" for Windows ships with the LiveSky web connection for interfacing 'Starry Night' with the vast resources of
astronomy information on the world wide web when connection to the Internet is available.

The included version of ACP is fully functional for 30 uses. After that, you may still use it free of charge to control your telescope
via Starry Night and ACP's control panel, however the advanced features such as voice command/response and scripting automation are disabled. Purchase a license directly from the software publisher, to permanently enable the features on this version.

INSTALLATION

If you have a MEADE LX200, a #1697 CDS, or a #497 Autostar, you should install both Starry Night and ACP. You will need the appropriate signal cable to connect your computer to your telescope's controller.

If you do not have QuickTime 3 or later on your system, you must first install QuickTime.
