Our Field Test Equipment Expert Took A New Deuter 3L Hydration System Out For A Short Test Drive.   His results; ""outstanding clean tasting water" !   The system is easy to load. The orange bag seal makes for a very unique way to seal the bag and also provide the best heavy-duty hanger for inside or outside the bag, as well as the best carrying handle.  This hydration bladder was easy to handle with the heavy-duty handle design.  The bladder was easily lifted out of a Deuter Backpack and carried to the water source for filling.  Once filled, the heavy weight of 3 liters of water was no problem to handle, do to the handle design.  Most other hydration systems simply are not design well for handling the weight and liquid property of bagged water!

Casanova's Hydration System FIELD TEST

Hydration All Day At The World's Biggest EAA Fly-In Event; Oshkosh Wisconsin; Held Every Hot Summer!

Walking All Day Was Always Tiring And Wearing On My Body At The EAA Fly-In.  I Tried  Canteens A Couple Times, But They Were Always Not Enough Water And The Water Came Out Hot And Unbearably Awful Tasting!

I Tested A CamelBak Hydration System At The EAA.  Wow What A Difference Drinking A Little Bit Of Water Often; I Was Full Of Energy And Comfortable All Day, While Out In The Hot Direct Sunlight of Mid Summer In Wisconsin.  The Bad Part Was The Heat Of The Day And The Constant Direct Sunlight On The Pack, Caused The Taste-Free Hydration System To Give Out Horribly Tasting Water!  It Was Awful, But The Day Was So Hot That I Had To Force Myself To Drink Short Sips; The Short Sips Is All I Could Bear!  Adventurer And Equipment Field Tester Jack Casanova, Enjoyed A Much Better Experience Drinking Much Easier Drinkable Water From A New Next-Generation Platypus Hydration System.

After That Field Test, I Field Tested A Next-Generation Deuter System On A Bike Ride Across The Major Metro Area Of Milwaukee Wisconsin.  The Purpose Of This Field Test Was A New Deuter Hydration Biking Backpack.  The Bike Ride Started From Our Retail Outlet Store Located In Brookfield Wisconsin.  The Intended Path Was To Ride To The Beautiful Milwaukee Lake Front's South Side, And Follow It Up To The North Side And Return Back To The Store.  This Was A Hot Late Summer Sunday. It Was A Hot Summer Day, And I Was Surprisingly Pleased All Day, At The Fantastic Fresh Clean Tasting Water Coming From The Deuter Hydration Pack!  And How Comfortable I Felt With The Backpack On.  This Backpack Utilizes Deuter's Exclusive Patented Heat Exchange Chimney System Which Keeps The User Comfortable.  I Can Attest To That, After Riding The 3 Hours of Actual Riding Time (As Reported By The GPS Bike Computer, And The 5 Hours Spent As Reported By The GPS Trip Computer) In The Uncomfortable Hot Humid Summer Day.  I Was Actually Comfortable!

Tip: The Human Body Uses Evaporation As The Natural Way For Cooling; A Basic Universe Principle of Physics. (And My High School Physics Teacher Thought I Wasn't Paying Attention! It Was The Presentation That Was Boring, Not The Subject).

A Note About The Field Tests.  During My Hydration System Field Tests, I Use Only Purified Bottled Or Purified City Tap Water As The "Control".  The Purpose Of The Control Is To Have A Common Reference Point For Tasteless Water To Compare; A Basic Scientific Procedure.  All Systems Are Filled With This Water Before Each Field Test.

To Date, The Deuter Systems Are The Absolute Best Performers.  Water Can And Has Been Held For Weeks And Still Comes Out Drinkable.  As A Note To Transporting Drinking Water On Adventure Travels In A Hydration Reservoir, Such As Distance Open-Water Paddling In A Sea Kayak, There Are A Few New Products On The Market Designed To Keep Water Fresh While Stowed In A Reservoir.  The One Provided By CamelBak Is A Tablet.
